[Eizen figures. Rokurou's not one to be this bad with writing purposely. That said, oof. That sure is some terrible typing.]
It's called [insert the name of some well-known tavern in Nogard and the associated directions]. If you don't know your way around too well yet, we can meet by the docks and head on over together.
[At least he won't be misspelling words out of ignorance. But Eizen better prepare himself for whenever Rokurou learns actual typing shorthands and slang...............]
yeah dont kno wit
[He's definitely not caring when he DOES have spelling or typing errors, either.]
[...The reaper has faced many challenges but dealing with Rokurou and his shorthands will be a true test of his linguistic abilities.]
See you then.
[Thus Eizen makes his way over to the docks. Whenever Rokurou shows up, he'll find Eizen casually leaning against the wall of some shack while flipping his usual coin. It serves the function of being a vessel and also makes for a fun trinket to fiddle with when passing the time. Shame it's always tails no matter the world.]
[At some point Rokurou will be doing this on purpose, and that will be even worse. AND WAIT UNTIL HE LEARNS EMOJIS.
But Eizen won't have to wait too long—fortunately Rokurou is on Nogard so it's just a matter of making his way to the docks. Recognizing the malak and his trusty coin, Rokurou raises a hand and calls out to him.]
[THAT WILL BE A BEAUTIFUL, HORRIFYING DAY. But Rokurou will also one day have to deal with a multi-text lecture about art or pottery something in return.
Catching a movement out of the corner of his eye gets Eizen to glance over right as Rokurou waves. Yup, not that long of a wait at all. He catches his coin a final time as he gives a nod in greeting.]
Aye. It's a short walk from here. The place didn't look too packed when I checked, either.
[Not that Eizen can't handle crowds, but this just makes it easier to find a seat.]
[Pearls are worth the lecture and the in-depth google search.
The question gets a soft shrug as Eizen responds.]
Decent. I wouldn't call it high-quality per say, but it's on the higher end of tavern food that I've had.
[Very filling, a tad greasy, and not too overpriced: about all you could ask for at this kind of joint. Add in the fact that the ingredients are of good quality and you end up with a solid meal to go with the booze.]
[The laugh gets a grin in response. A good point. Something about this kinda food really brings out the flavor of the booze in an inexplicable way.]
Great. First round'll be on me.
[Soon enough, the tavern'll come into view. It's a larger place with a bit of a dark esthetic to it. Dark boards, dark decorations, dark everything. A shady place perfect for shady folks. That said, all of it looks very well maintained and clean. In all honesty, it's impressive considering how rowdy the place can get some nights.]
[Not too busy, if with a few more people in here than when Eizen'd checked earlier. Good.]
Aye. Fits it while also not letting that aesthetic get in the way of upkeep of the place.
[Some of the dark and gritty places think that looking dark and gritty makes up for molding floorboards and broken windows. Good alcohol can help make up for that a bit, but even then, it only goes so far.
After a quick survey of the place, Eizen glances over at Rokurou.]
Table or stool?
[Since it looks like they have a choice of a cozy corner table or a couple stool seats right in front of the bar. Neither is a bad choice really, so it's Rokurou's call.]
[Since this is a self-seat sort of place, Eizen heads on over to that little cozy corner table. It's nothing too special: a sturdy-looking wooden table, a couple chairs, a sizable menu with all the drink and food listings standing in the middle of the table.
As Eizen sits down, he speaks up.]
I already know what I'm getting so menu's all yours. They had some decent sake last I checked.
[He's not tried all the local ones yet but can give a few recommendations.]
The Shoebill-Grass Vodka has a subtle initial flavor but then hits you with a powerful intensity after the first sip and goes down surprisingly smoothly.
[It uses an old method to infuse the vodka with local grasses that works surprisingly well. Should Rokurou ever be interested, there's a very long and detailed lecture on the process that Eizen would love to give.]
Something more in line with your preferences may be the Fleeting Field Sake. It's made from a local flower, the Pevonia Blossom, that gives it a sweeter taste and thicker composition than your standard sake.
[He's not the biggest sake expert, but this one is top notch as far as his experience with sake goes.]
And although not just local to this world, their Dandelion Mead is the house specialty.
Five Lilies Single Barrel. It's a bourbon I've been meaning to try, but they were out of it last I came by. It's supposed to be a sweet and floral flavor with nodes of vanilla, lavender and strawberry that has a smooth finish.
[Which sounds like a solid bourbon. Hopefully, they have some in stock today. If not, then he'll probably go with that mead to start.]
[Maybe Rokurou is helping because once they place their orders, Eizen is in luck. They have just enough left of that drink for him!! But only one glass so tough luck if he wants more.
With everything settled, Rokurou leans back more comfortably in his seat.]
[Actual luck? For him? Eizen can't help but grin a bit when it ends up the booze is actually in stock. There's probably going to be a catch later, but he's gonna enjoy this bit of good fortune while it lasts.]
Aye, a couple months.
[He leans back in his own seat and folds his arms.]
But I was here for a good while once before. I ended up getting sent home for about 2 weeks before getting thrown back in and finding out I was gone about a year here.
[It was one hell of a fun surprise to find that out.]
Time doesn't seem to flow the way we're used to here, at least when it comes to aligning with our home worlds. No idea how that works, but it just does.
[Different worlds can just have different laws governing them, which'd make sense. It's not the worst thing but just annoying to deal with.]

[Yes Eizen. While Rokurou knows how to write well, he's still getting used to the whole phone thing so texting is... Yeah.]

This is the place.

Not bad. Definitely fits the whole "pirate" "corsair" vibe.
[And in they go! Despite the time, although not so full they can't get a table easily, there are still a number of patrons to keep the place lively.]

That works fine for me.

Hmmm... I'll try the sake first, see how it is. Could try the mead after.
[Because of course he'd be willing to drink something else—]
What are you having?

[Which means it sells out pretty fast, alas. Maybe today'll be the day he gets a little bit lucky and gets to finally have a taste.
It takes Eizen a few more seconds of glancing through the food menu before finally setting it down. Yup, he's ready.]
no subject
